About Olivia
Olivia Gossett Cooper (b. 1988) works in abstract oil painting, often featuring expressionistic lines, and object-based conceptual installations which reflect on power dynamics. The two branches of her practice create a tension between tight narrative, and the freedom that comes with letting the medium speak for itself.
Cooper has presented solo exhibitions with NYC MOCA (2026) and The Empty Circle (2025). She has presented at fairs including Future Fair (2026), Satellite (2025), and ArtPrize (2024, 2026). Her work has been included in exhibitions at Marinaro Gallery (2026), Projet Monet (2026), Arts Letters & Numbers (2025), Westbeth Gallery (2025), Second Ave Arts (2024), Arbor Gallery (2024), and more. She is a participant in the Canopy Program fellowship (2026/27) and has studied at NY Academy of Art in ongoing education.
Cooper lives and works in Tribeca, New York City.
