About Olivia

Olivia Gossett Cooper is a New York–based artist whose work explores serendipity and interconnectedness. Working in painting, installation and video, she uses the grid as framework, introducing hand-drawn instability to examine the tension between order and the fluidity of lived experience. Her layered surfaces reflect how individual perception unfolds within larger shared systems. A recent installation examining what we carry throughout the day extended this investigation into physical space, highlighting the continuous interplay between individuality and collective presence.

Cooper has presented solo exhibitions and installations with NYC MOCA (2026), The Empty Circle (2025). Her work has been included in exhibitions at Arts Letters & Numbers (2025), Westbeth Gallery (2025), Second Ave Arts (2024), ArtPrize (2024), Arbor Gallery (2024), and more. She is a participant in the Canopy Program (2026/27).

She lives and works in New York.
